Dress code at the middle and high school will continue as it has always been at Lebanon Catholic School when the new school year begins on August 29, 2011. LC polo shirts of any kind will not be a year-round dress, but will remain as previous – April, May, June, September, October dress. LC long-sleeved polo shirts may be worn in these months also. The elementary school is not included in this decision.
With the LC polo, boys are to wear a white undershirt with no writing on it under the LC white polo shirt, and a navy blue tee shirt under the LC navy polo shirt. Tee shirt color and polo color must be matching.
The dress code also stipulates a dress shoe and dress socks for the boys. In the past, some of our young men had been wearing the wrong shoes and socks. This year, we are notifying you during the summer so that you have time to purchase the correct type of shoe. This year no boot of any sort, even the low-cut boot, nor any sneaker-like shoes will be accepted as a dress shoe. No white socks, or low-cut or quarter-cut socks will be accepted as a dress sock. To be aware of the acceptable style of shoes and socks please go to www.lebanoncatholicschool.org and click on “footwear.” Be sure to go into all sites to see what is and isn’t acceptable.
The girls are to wear solid navy, black, white, gray or dark green socks. No patterned knee-highs of any kind are acceptable. Sandals, backless shoes of any kind, and any sneaker-like shoes are not in dress code. Girls’ styles of shoes change so often. The recent slipper-like shoes are not acceptable or high heels with a diameter of less than 2 inches. To be aware of the acceptable style of shoes and socks please go to www.lebanoncatholicschool.org and click on “footwear” where you will find 7 pages of footwear examples.
Students will have to follow the dress code rule. The teachers will check dress code regularly this coming year, but the final arbiter in dress code will be the administration.
Respectfully,
Mr. Michael Miller, Director of Discipline
Mrs. Rose Kury, Principal
